PML-N Convenes Emergency Meeting to Address Wheat Crisis in Punjab
Lahore, Pakistan – PML-N has called an urgent meeting today at the Model Town Secretariat in Lahore to discuss the worsening wheat crisis in Punjab that is looming due to problems in the procurement of wheat and which has also raised concerns about possible food shortages and price hikes.
Party Leadership to Convene
PML-N President Nawaz Sharif has called party leader Shehbaz Sharif back to Lahore for the important meeting. According to sources, Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz, Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Asif, and other senior leaders will be present in the meeting.
Focus on Wheat Procurement and Party Reorganization
The wheat procurement process will be reviewed in the meeting and bottlenecks causing crisis will be addressed. Party also intends to discuss how to enhance internal organization and structure during the meeting. They will present a detailed briefing on the challenges of wheat procurement and possible solutions to party leadership.
