Pakistani Government Accused of Ignoring Evidence of Spying on Judges
The government of Pakistan is being accused of deliberately ignoring the evidence of illegal surveillance on judges knowingly for more than a year. The matter came to light after the secret cameras were found from the House of Islamabad High Court judge.
Judges Alerted Government Officials
Sources added, the judges found the cameras and immediately informed several top government officials.
- Azam Nazeer Tarar: Federal Minister for Law and Justice
- Mansoor Usman Awan: Attorney General of Pakistan
Both officials showed surprise and concern and admitted that the situation is very serious, but still took no action.
Concerns of Government Inaction
The lack of action raises serious concerns, especially since the matter was brought to the attention of:
- Shahbaz Sharif Government Officials: They allegedly denied any involvement.
- Director General of the Intelligence Bureau: They also searched the judge’s house but they took no action after that.
