Lahore High Court Braces for Lawyers’ Strike and Potential Protests

Security Tightened at Lahore High Court

Lawyers all over Pakistan are on a 2-day strike today to protest against recent police violence. Lahore High Court has increased security measures in anticipation of any possible protests.

There is a heavy police presence at all the entry points of the High Court, police even brought water cannons with them. It is learned that authorities had already done a detailed security review in anticipation of possible protests. Lahore Police seems to be on high alert and fully prepared to tackle any untoward incident.
