Fuel Prices Drop in Pakistan After Government Intervention

Islamabad, Pakistan: To ease the public’s difficulties, the Pakistani government has decided to give a major relief by cutting the fuel prices. The decision was taken after the public reaction on high inflation and an increase in travel expenses.

The Prime minister Shehbaz Sharif has given the green signal to reduce, which will cut the price by Rs 15.39 per liter in petrol and Rs 7.88 per liter in diesel whereas the price of kerosene will come down by Rs 9.86 per litre.

The decrease in price is expected to give relief to the public, especially to those who are already upset due to the high cost of transportation while concerns are also being raised about what will be the long-term effect of these prices cut on the national economy.

Experts warn against band-aid solutions and suggest the government look into the global and internal issues that are causing inflation.
