Child’s Burial Denied in Nawabshah Due to Family Dispute
People are protesting in a village near Nawabshah, Sindh after their 2-year-old daughter was not allowed to be buried in the local graveyard. According to reports, the child’s family was ousted from the village due to a marriage dispute so the villagers denied their burial.
Protests Erupt Over Burial Refusal
After the child’s death, when the family was trying to bury her in the village graveyard, they faced resistance from the local community. Later on family took the body to Nawabshah Press Club and protest for intervention of authorities.
Family Ostracized Due to Marriage Dispute
The family claims that they have been isolated from the village after the Jirga disapproved of their marriage. Due to this disapproval, they were kicked out and now they are not allowed to bury their child in the village graveyard.
Calls for Government Intervention
The family demands from the authorities that they should intervene and ensure a proper burial of their child in their ancestral graveyard. They demand that the government should take notice and ensure their basic rights are fulfilled.
