13-Year-Old Girl Taken into Protective Custody in Nagoha

Nagoha, Pakistan – Police have taken a 13-year-old girl into protective custody from Nagoha on the order of the SHO.

Individuals Involved

Multiple persons are connected to this case:

• 13-year-old girl: Currently under police custody and under medical care.
• Girl’s father: The father of the girl is in police custody.
• Witness: Also under police custody, giving a statement.

Legal Proceedings Underway

The police will present the girl to the District Public Prosecution Office soon, an FIR will be filed later and then after a formal arrest can be made. Police are fulfilling all legal requirements in the case.

Case in Swat

In another incident, a similar nikah case has been reported in Swat where a 13-year-old girl and a 70-year-old man are getting married. The girl’s father and a witness are under police custody.
